Aristocat

I made this collar for my ragdoll cat Boo the other day. I got a pink elasticised collar and hot glued on pink and cream velvet forget-me-nots, gems, diamonte hearts, and added a bell and the princess charm. I tried to get a good photo of her wearing it but she kept attacking the camera cord so I had to wrestle it off her - hence the fluff. It's funny because she looks so graceful but she is actually a klutz. My last cat was very majestic and elegant but this one wants to play and sleep around my head like some sort of purring fluffy hat. She is a very pretty kitty cat but now she is even cuter :)
I am sorry I have been so slack lately and, to be honest, until I've finished my exams I might be a bit MIA. I attempted to do the entire semester's worth of work for Digital Design in a week - not pretty, I don't recommend it. I was far from alone though! I have got some beautiful summer heels to post when I'm wearing something other than comfy studying clothes. Vixen

Tiny LBD plus very sexy tights plus heels = a lot of construction workers yelling at me on my walk to the bus top. But seriously, how hot are these tights?! Polkadots and cuban back seam, yum yum :) If I ladder them I will be devastated. Not wearing any rings today cos that's usually how I destroy my entire wardrobe of tights. Is this a suitable outfit to wear to uni? Probably not. Do I care? Not at all.

Ruffled

I have to say I haven't been having the easiest time lately. Been feeling down. The last couple of weeks have been a struggle. To take a quote from Othello, 'I loved not wisely but too well'. And a quote from myself (I write poetry, yeah I know, nerd :P) 'I've only ever had a needle to prick at the wounds, never the thread to stitch them'. Still... 'The door to happiness opens outwards'. Quoted out yet?
This ruffle dress I wore for my Grandma's 80th birthday luncheon did make me feel a little better. Yay ruffles! Been fiending the bright nail polish colours lately, my little sister stocked me up on blue and yellow. Got some limited edition SCENTED nail polish from Revlon too, smells pretty yummy :)

Tie-Dye Sky

As usual, my apologies for my inability to order my photos correctly - I swear I'm not usually this I.T. retarded!
I got this tie-dye dress for my birthday. I love it but I have to stay it has a tendency to ride up like you wouldn't believe and I've spent most of the day worrying I might be flashing the people behind me! Also, please ignore my face as I was about to leave for the gym and wearing no make-up except for a quick swipe of lipstick :o
The two-tone heels were another pressie, and I absolutely ADORE them! They are so retro and elegant, I really like heels with t-straps. I get so many compliments when I wear them that my head will surely explode one of these days. They were from my fabulous grandma who I'm sure I inherited my style from.
My main birthday present was this beautiful Thomas Sabo charm bracelet. My parents gave me the bracelet, tape and the lipstick charms, and my best guy mate gave me the ying-yang and the handcuffs. The detail is amazing and the handcuffs even open and close. It's so shiny! I'm normally all about the gold but this charm collection really stole my heart. So spoilt :)

Pink Electricity

It's my birthday today! I've just been rushing around the house setting the table and putting out tea candles in preparation for our guests. We always have big family dinners on birthdays. So far I've gotten a LOT of nailpolish to fuel my obsession and a beautiful Thomas Sabo charm bracelet and some charms. I'll post photos at some point. I'd better be off to play hostess :)

Noire

It's finally starting to get warmer here and I am ridiculously excited about the prospect of buying a new spring/summer wardrobe soon (funds willing). It's also my birthday soon so I've bombarded my parents with a large birthday wish list much to their dismay. At least they know what I want, right?
I must buy a clean, new visual diary to continue lookbooking because my lookbook has existed as this tiny little notebook for quite a while now and, due to how irritatingly small it is, gets pretty much ignored. I work at Whitcoulls (bookstore to those overseas) and so I get all the fashion magazines free when they come off the shelf :D Vair convenient.
I am currently in my Digital Design class but the teacher rather annoys me so I'm being productive, as you can tell. Better get back to it I suppose...

Timeless

My grandma dug into her treasure chest wardrobe again and this time she pulled out this authentic Oroton mesh bag. Beautiful! This one is perfect, you can have the chain doubled up or full length and, of course, the gold makes me vair happy. It's still in its original box and has its certificate of authenticity dated 1972! The little booklet made me laugh, it's so retro. I was giggling at the mesh ciggarette cases and the lighter until I realised I would LOVE to have a lighter like that, despite the fact I don't smoke.
I've also included a page of my doodling for you. I'm a hardcore doodler and it keeps me entertained in my lectures. Believe it or not, I actually listen better when I'm doodling because it saves me from complete boredom. Unfortunately when I went to cut off the raggedy edges after pulling the page out of my book, it cut off the side a little bit. This is just one page of many. Click on the photos to enlarge them, the detail is quite intense.
Sorry for being so useless with posts and comments lately, I need to get back into the routine. I've been distracted by looking forward to summer outfits as we're in our last month of winter here in New Zealand. Flowers are popping up everywhere, our garden is overflowing with daffodils, fresias, and camelias - so lovely.
I dressed up as a kitty cat to go clubbing the other night, was so much fun. I'll see if I can rustle up some photos.
Do you reckon it'd be overkill to wear the Oroton bag with the sequined top? Let me know :)
